I've done all my research and I'm just about ready to try my first side art install. I'm going forward with the dry method per metahugh's video.

I took the art out of the packaging and realized it is printed on a rectangular material while the artwork itself isn't rectangular. This is System 1 art, BTW.

The examples I've seen don't show this mismatched situation. What's the best way to apply the art in this case?

I noticed the art does appear to be "cut out" around the official shape, but that doesn't go all the way through the material.

Ok.. that helps. Trim it within 1/4 inch all the way around before applying.

I also once received damaged art from them. It was a Track and Field CPO and it got creased in shipping. But, they sent a second one.....and unfortunately the same thing happened. Still, they sent a third one and it was perfect. Actually, quality of all three was perfect, but the shipping ruined them.
Anyway, they DID correct it for me...TWICE. The fact that they corrected it for me made me a loyal customer.

To the OP, trim it a little, but it doesn't have to be super close. Within a few inches should be fine. Then, just go along the edges with a razor. I applied full size Ms. Pac art without trimming it at all first, and it turned out perfect. I just trimmed it after with a straight razor blade.

I wanted to check that link to your shop but it didn't work. Might want to check that. I think the most important thing is to be consistently good to your customers. In this day and age, one slip up and your business gets bashed publicly for eternity. Kind of sucks, but I think it hopefully makes businesses more careful.
