Trim pots

I thought I had posted this question the other day looking for trim pots for a K7000 but I can't find it in the postings. Bob's trim pots are $2 each for the K7000. You can find the trim pots for the U5000 style at Mouser but I have not fiound the trim pots with the thumb screws/shafts. Anybody else have a source?

You'd have to find a local electronics shop. Ace Electronics here in Houston carries quite a few but they're different values and styles. Can't really find one style in all the necessary values. They run .25 each.

I went on Bob Roberts site, he has a kit for the remote board P802 for the K7000, mine is labeled a P801. Is this just an older version, or are they not interchangeable. Mine looks really....really old. I attached a pic of the board. I would love to update it to the newer style. My main reason to replace it is that I think some of the pots might be shot. All I have is a visable line, I replaced IC3, unsoldered and resoldered r101 like people have mentioned... did a cap kit....no change. Last thing is the pots.

They're not interchangable, because they're a different connector, and it looks like there's less pots on yours than the other. I personally like those pots better though... the other board has small pots that break really easily, those stand up better to abuse.

Why do you think the pots are bad? It's really easy to test w/ a multimeter... just measure resistance across the two pins on the same side... that'll tell you the total pot resistance, then from one side measure to the single pin on the end. Make sure that it changes smoothly as you turn the pot.

Yep, here in the DFW area Tanner's seems to be the big DIY electronics supplier but they have 0 trim pots with the shafts. I'm going to try a monitor repair place downtown (Atlas) and a parts supplier in Fort Worth (also Atlas but different animal).

Old post I know. Mouser does have shafts for pots, I just ordered pots and shafts from them but I had to speak with a tech there and he found them in stock.

Do you have any part numbers you would like to share? :)

Thanks,
