I picked this one up years ago and after getting it working a year after getting it, have been plugging away at different parts of the restoration ever since. After gutting it, I took a pic of what I started with:

It was basically a boy and a dream. Non working complete Baby Pacman with an OK aged playfield. I dropped it in my arcade a few years ago after restoring the cabinet. The playfield was decent and I thought that I could live with it.

I should have known better. I can never just "Live with" anything unless its done right. Fast forward to now. I had the playfield touched up and clearcoated. I polished all hardware. 1/2 of the bulbs under the playfield didn't work. That issue ended up being a bad solder joint on a ground wire that I was able to find pretty fast. Now all bulbs are working. I'm just waiting on bulbs (I'm replacing all bulbs) to finish it. Here's where I'm stuck now:

I'm not sure that I could be happier with the way that it has turned out!

That playfield looks super....that is going to play super fast with that clearcoat....Looks great. I might send mine out to clear eventually too..but its down on the list of things to do at this time.

I just played "baby Pac" for the 1st time in a long time at "MEGA PLAY" an arcade about 15 min from my house. I really enjoyed the pin / vid combo this game offers. I will be on the look out for one in the future.

OH, and great job on the resto for the play field.

not that the baby pac wasn't nice enough or uncommon enough, you had to throw in Granny aye? (f'n saweet!)

I can be the same way with things, projects are never done because i'm so very critical.

Thanks! After ordering all new standard 555 bulbs on Sunday, I decided Monday that I wanted to try LED bulbs in all of the inserts. I ordered those Monday and as of today am still waiting..... As soon as those get here, I can finish. If the LED's work out, I'll be doing the ones in my Granny And The Gators inserts as well. I just wish the LED's would get here!

who did you order through? i need some #44's and wedge #555's but Centsible Amusements is either away or they're out of 3 way white/clear >.<

I ordered them through Cointaker. I know that I can get them a tad cheaper at other places, but I had a bunch of leftovers from kits that I used for my Sopranos and Guns N Roses pinball machines that I can use. I just wanted the colors to all match up perfectly with the ones that I already had.

awesome thanks for the info :D

I'm interested to see the LEDs under the yellow inserts. In my experience the yellow LEDs always look a bit 'sickly' compared to a traditional bulb.

I just put them in and they look like sh1t. I need to swap the yellow LED's out. They don't give off anywhere near enough light.
