Translucent T-Molding Experience/ Pics

I can't go digging for you, but the guy that posted up the thread about building a skating rink makes multigames with transluscent t-molding. If you find that thread, there's pictures in there of it.

It's translucent, not transparent. Light passes thru, but you can't see thru it.

Couldn't you rig up some way to throw some of that EL Wire (or whatever it's called) in the t-moulding slot to have it glow through the t-moulding? I'm not saying it's a good idea... just wondering if it could be done.

Don't be giving away my ideas. That's my plan if it works the way they say it will.

I dunno. I'm really feeling the SH. Regardless I'm sure there will be plenty of pics. ;)

Do you guys not like pics or something? The way some of you type I always assumed you couldn't read very well either. Most folks who have trouble with reading comprehension appreciate a story told with pretty pictures as opposed to scary old words. If seeing decent pics of arcade related stuff in an arcade related forum bothers you folks so much, you really should put in a request to the admin to disable the picture posting feature. Then this place would be reeeeeally fun, yeah? Pathetic. And you used the winky faced icon which is like a slap to the nutsack for me (not the good kind of playful, tickly slap, the kind that makes you double over and feel like you have to shit Ginsu knives sideways).

It's been done. I think it was somebody over on BYOAC.

Here is one example.

Seems great minds think alike. I was talking to a buddy about this recently who wanted to do this to his Tron. Ordered some translucent samples from t-molding.com and put a light behind them to find out that they did glow. Hasn't ordered his EL wire yet, though...

;)... that's the tickly kind for you to perk things up a bit.

No, I dig pictures. I am envious of the pictures that you are able to post.

Interesting choice Phet, i'm looking into a T-molding/color that would work well with a Tron restoration and glow in blacklight. wonder what this translucent crap would do?

Well, introduce EL wire into the mix and who cares if it glows. It won't have to. I am gonna try it a few ways to see which works better.
