So yesterday, I experienced something rather odd with my Transformers Pin. I was playing right along when all the sudden the flippers went dead in the middle of play. Bonus and scores rang up like a Ball had been drained, and it spit out a ball in the shooter lane. The ball in play was still high enough up that when the flippers kicked back on I had two balls in play.

Didn't think much about it at first, just a random glitch. But then it happened at least 5 more times during the course of the day.

I checked the trough switches to make sure one wasn't accidently closing but didn't see any problems..

I had the same issue on Tron. Contact your distributor to ask Stern for replacement trough sensor board(s). There is an issue with the sensor or the wires connected to the sensor (cold solder joint, etc.). I fiddled with the wires connecting to the trough sensor and it has worked fine since then so I'm assuming it was a loose connection somewhere. Others have re-soldered the wires to the board there.

Common problem with these are the ball trough opto boards.

Remove the board, remove the solder from the optos and the pins the connector plugs onto. Flow on new solder. Put boards back in game. Live happily ever after.

LTG :)
