Hi newbie question since i can't find a straight forward answer. The wiring connecting the monitor chassis to the transformer. What is the orientation for the leads or does it not matter?

For example i have a white and black wire coming from the monitor chassis to the transformer. I temporarily connected it direct since it didn't have any connect ends. The cab kicked on with no issues. But my other cab with the same layout has the black and white wires flipped and it also powers on fine. Wondering if the orientation matter.

I think i just found my answer lol

Just wondering if someone can confirm orientation to the monitor doesn't have to be a certain way.

Does not matter at all, there is no HOT or Neutral on the input or output of an isolation transformer.
I would always use the black and white side wires as the AC in and the other pair as AC out to monitor. You run into issues if the transformer is not a standard 1:1 (Nintendo for example that outputs 100 VAC)
