Rolled out the other day and picked up a couple games. Dan ( Hatrick) came along and got the Star Wars ( with an Amplifone) he always wanted. I snagged a Space Ace and we also got a Star Trek( in an Asteroids cab) , Space Invaders, Omega Race, Tournament Cyberball, Sprint 2, converted Mach 3 cabinet, and a Shinobi in a Kangaroo cab. All the games were complete. Congrats Dan on finally getting a Star Wars. Most of these will eventually be for sale.

Thanks for hooking me up with the Star Wars game, Dave.
It was a fun adventure picking up the games, and I even visited a part of Idaho I had not yet seen. It will be great bringing these games back to life.

No kidding? Damn! Thats a hell of a steal Dave!

Matt

Ya, it wasn't bad. We have made some progress on the games so far. The Space Invaders looked like it had a board issue, the images on the screen were messed up and locked. After messing around with it for a little bit i figured out that the slam switch on the door was smashed together sticking it in reset mode basically. As soon as I pried it apart the picture came up. There were a couple video glitches that went away as soon as I cleaned all the black off the roms and reseated the two boards together. Now it just needs a cap kit. Dan has
made some headway on the Tourny Cyberball , Star Trek and Sprint. Next up i am going to see what is wrong with Omega Race.

Cyberball is working. That is a fun game, if I had more room, I'd consider keeping it. With 4 people playing on the two separate monitors, it would be a great party game.
Star Trek board set works, but the GO8 needs some work (big surprise there!)

Sprint needs both monitor and board work, but I think I've found he board problems.

Overall, all of the games are progressing nicely. I haven't had time to look into the Star wars game yet.

I would label this a decent score.

Decent score? Very nice score more like it.

There are some relatively high-value games in that lot if you get them working.

I was able to get the Star Wars playing blind yesterday. The interconnect board had one row of the solder pins bent over touching the next row (never seen that one before!). Fixed that and the game fired up blind.

The Amplifone HV board has the original "Dead Red" and I'm pretty sure it's dead. I'll need to rebuild the HV board, but I'll concentrate on some of the other games from the haul first.

Wow, that was one heck of a deal. It will be alot of work, but will be more than worth it once you are done. You'll end up with a few games you really like, all of your money back, plus a small chunk of change to impress the wife. :D

Great score, guys! If I didn't already have my cyberball I'd be planning a road trip out there to buy it off of you! :)

The only game I'm planning to keep is the Star Wars. The rest will be for sale. Some of these will take a fair amount of work, but it was still a good deal considering the titles we got. The wife will be much more impressed when I get these games out of the garage, although I made sure there was plenty of room for her to park inside :D

I had zero interest in the Cyberball game until I got it working and fired it up.
I played a couple of games by myself and it was fun. I can imagine with 4 people playing that it would be a blast! I have no room for it, so it will be for sale soon.
