I've got the same in a tube waiting for me to get to it. Not sure what's up. Maybe the latest batch the screening company forgot to screen in a light block layer?

Yeah, this shouldn't be necessary, and my originals were just clear plastic, no extra light blocking masking needed. There is a 720 restoration thread where they actually masked off an painted the plexi behind it. They were not sure if it was masked from the factory or not.
Can't find the thread right now but these are the pics I pulled:

Yes, this is odd, especially with the lower 15w equivalent bulb he's using now. It really seems like something is different with the overlays being sold today. Maybe go with an even lower wattage bulb. Now I'm wondering what's in mine, bulb wise. Mine has the smallest amount of bleed, it's hard to even see it. But maybe there's a 5 or 10I've got the same in a tube waiting for me to get to it. Not sure what's up. Maybe the latest batch the screening company forgot to screen in a light block layer?
25w tubular incandescent was specified in the manual.
Ok so this got me interested... I went downstairs and pulled my newly purchased art (end of last year ish) and took a pic with sunlight backlight. Looks like this will work out assuming it's not super bright. Clearly there's a light blocking layer screened in. You can see the 3M backing showing through where it isn't

Yeah, maybe he's aware of some differences, or maybe some were defective, etc. Never know!Call or email. I've contacted PA about issues in the past and they've always been responsive and fair to me.
