I was out at a local flea market and saw a guy who had a bunch of possible non working arcade games. I stopped and asked if he was selling them and he said "no, not really but there are a few in the next room with some prices on them". I decided to go take a look and was greeted with a $1500 Ms Pacman that looked beat, at that point I scanned around the room and saw several other games with prices of $950, I didn't even bother to look at them since none were one's I'd pay a quarter of that for. On my way back through I figured I'd see if he'd trade my Super Pacman for something, the classics are obviously worth a TON to him so maybe that vintage Super would be a trade he'd consider for something I want. He didn't want it but when I mentioned my Terminator 2 he was all over it. I'm not into it for much, I got the game from a guy on here, put a good working monitor in it and rebuilt a gun. He was talking a trade on a Neo Geo with a bootleg board that has around 100 games since it doesn't make as much money as he thought it would. No one plays Terminator anymore so I think this would be a good addition to my arcade. He was trying to push another fighting game off on me but the way he was talking about it I have a feeling it was crap, I'd never even heard of it. Any thoughts on the bootleg Neo Geo stuff?

It's probably a one slot board with a 100 in 1 cart. Those carts are pretty good, I have a 128 in 1 or something like that cart and the games play fine. As long as the game he's trading is in good shape and the monitor is nice and bright I think it's a fair trade. Terminator can be a hard game to sell.

Personally I'm just not a neo geo fan but if you're into neo geo and the 100 game cart is in working order then I've heard that's the way to go with a neo geo. basically you get a lot of neo geo games in one cab. I think neo geo only went up to 4 slots but I could be wrong. With the 100 game cart you simply get more in one cab without having to swap carts.

Sounds like you're talking about Denios. Pretty sure they've had plenty of interest in their games over the years and I'd be surprised if they ever let them go. I'm sure at this point they pay more in electricity and repairs to keep them on location but they probably don't know or care about that.

I would go for it if is an original Neo Geo cab. I'm guessing its Trader Dan there, and yeah his prices are Sky High, I remember he wanted like $300 for an untested Die Hard board or something like that, but then my buddy scored a $40 Simpsons board from him once...

Yeah, its Denio's. He told me he used to sell them but now wants to keep them on location to make money since he can't sell them for 5 times what they are actually worth. He was talking about closing up and just selling online so I doubt those games will get any use after that. All of his stuff is neglected, beat up, control or monitor problems..... its just the typical "as long as it lights up and makes noise" kind of places. I actually played his California Speed just to get a feel for it since I'm planning on converting my Cruis'n back but hadn't played one in forever. Its just sad to see them sitting there wasting away, the people wandering through there aren't the highest caliber so they don't get treated well.

I'm not a huge fan of Neo Geo stuff myself but with a huge selection of games in one cab I think it'll be worth it and as mentioned before, the Terminator is going to be hard to sell anyway.

They went up to 6 slots. I've got a six-slot, 1-slot, and a conversion 1-slot. If you were on this coast I would have traded you my one-slot for the terminator. I do want that game.

Yeah...if it is a dedicated Neo Geo I'd consider it. Keep in mind, I am a guy that can only play T2 for 10 minutes before falling asleep. So I'd be very open to the trade. :p

I am also under the impression that T2's aren't the easiest games to sell. Dedicated Neo Geo, on the other hand, will sell much quicker if you decide it isn't your thing.

...which is why I am skeptical about this scenario. Something tells me this Neo Geo isn't dedicated or is seriously beat up.
