OK. So somebody offered me 3 games for my Indy Heat.
Now lets get something straight 1st about it. The Indy Heat is original and plays perfect. Has a 25" monitor. Cost me $100.
The 3 games being offered are very so so if that. 1 of them (Pengo) i have never played.
The offer is:

OK looking Pengo. Needs a marquee. Needs a new CP or perhaps a new CPO. but works.
Shitty looking Simpsons dedicated. Has side art, but peeling. Has nice marquee. But busted busted control panel. Likely needs just a cleaning and new CPO...maybe a few other things.
AND LAST a BROKEN BUSTED POLE POSITION. It is ugly. I dont even know if it powers up.
Maybe good for parts? Maybe easy to restore?
So,.would YOU trade a big ass Indy Heat.,working,.with nice monitor,.in pretty damn good condition....for THOSE 3 games?
here is the ad from CL.

Unless you really like your indy heat, I say go for it. Fix up the simpsons and either keep it (its a good game) or flip it, youll definitely come out ahead on that one alone. There are Pengo lovers out there if thats not your kind of game, could probably flip that one too.

Do the trade and flip all three, then use the cash on something you really want. That Simpsons isn't horrible--They're usually beat up since they got a lot of play.

done deal. thnx guys.
I need to clear a bunch of crap out of my garage to clear space,.he said call him when im ready!
thankyou for your opinions. I thought he was mugging me..!

Pengo is in the price guide at 3-400. I dont see Simpsons in there but if you restore it, I'd guess even higher than Pengo, closer to 5 or 6.

If I were you I'd grab those two and pass the PP off to another collector, youll still be coming out way ahead, so long as your willing to put the work into restoring these games. Seems like you want to get the indy heat out anyway, I wouldnt overthink this.

EDIT: Done deal I see. Awesome.

thnx man.
Its never "done" until the games are here,.
but he seems very willing.
I actually threw the offer out as a half joke.
I wanted the Simpsons for weeks,.been telling him to bring it for $100
then i realized he had the other 2 and thought..hmmmm...how can i get that Simpsons,.
and not give him ANY money,.
the Indy Heats big ass volunteered for duty,.now off it hopefully goes.
thnx again

Simpsons is pristine.

Looks like that's a PPII.
What's up with the PPII? Get more info.

Pengo's pretty OK, but I doubt you will like it.

no, but the game is. Used to play it at Chucky Greeze'es

Prolly not too back lookin once you fix the CP.

Do you like the Indy Heat alot, or no?

That Pengo looks like some bad burn though.

That's good that you decided to go through with the deal. I would have as well! Definitely a good score. Simpsons is a blast to play (especially with friends!) and so is Pengo.

That PP probably isn't worth parting really. There are tons of those parts floating around. Of course the most common issue is the board. If the board is bad, probably 120-160ish to get a new board.

yea,.i wanted it before playing.
I like the show. I like the cabinet.
I figured,.lets get it for $100
but then this happened.
Once i actually have the games,.i will post pix. thnx guys.

?

Not a joke when he was asking $150
the ad says $300
i said "whats the Rock bottom,."
he said quickly "$150"
so i knew $100 was doable/...

I concur with the others here. If I had the space and the Indy Heat to trade, that would already be a done deal by me.

Pole Position is notorious for the bad boards AND the crappy Mat-so-shitty monitors they put in them, but if someone's already put in a Wells Gardner or a G07, then it's worth getting a working board set.

Pengo is fun and challenging, and ... chicks dig it. You can get a CPO for it at arcadeoverlays.com, though I'm not sure if anyone does side art repros for it.

And as everyone has pointed out, the Simpsons is a fun game, especially with 2 or 3 friends playing with you.

Turning your $100 investment in Indy Heat (did you buy it from the KLOVer in Colton? If so, I passed up on it before you bought it as I don't have space) into those three games is a great deal.
