Trade Dragons Liar for a Tron?? CL craziness

It would almost be worth it to show up with a SegaCD, TV, Paperboy (Genesis) and Dragon's Lair (SegaCD) to see what he does. To the seller's credit, he does have a Spy Hunter, and good taste. I'd like to see the rest of his gameroom, the Tron doesn't look too bad.

I would happily trade a Dragon's Lair for a Tron, provided that I actually had one. I never should have traded my Tron for a DK (4 years ago). It could be worth millions when the new movie comes out.

The Tron arcade "price bump" for the movie is going to be very minimal. Just watch.

If someone wanted my TRON and offered a Dragon's Lair for it, I'll even help them load the TRON in their truck.

Don't do that. It's worth billions.

And... A much funner and visually appealing game.

I'm selling all the gold that Glenn Beck told me to buy and investing solely in Tron cabinets. The day after the movie comes out I'm selling them all and achieving my lifelong dream of owning a solid gold toilet.

Prices should already be spiking for old Tron machines, if they're going to spike.

Recent eBay sale prices for Tron: $965, $700, $430. The $430 was in reasonably good shape, and working.

Anyone thinking the movie will make their Trons worth a fortune is, in my opinion, gonna be super bummed. But, frankly, I think this could've been predicted.

Does anyone know if the arcade game makes an appearance any longer than at the beginning when Sam walks into the arcade? If it's too spoiler-ish, then just PM me.

I would think that would help with the game sale, if you saw the game for longer than 2 minutes on the big screen.

I have to agree, it's not going to be that big of a spike. After all the new game for the new movie will be out by the time the new movie is out. After the new movie is out for a bit the spike will go away. I would wager. I fixed my Tron up because I love the game. I played it all the time. Got a great score on it. Plus I also love how it looks in my Arcade. Did not fix it up to sell it off. Took way too long to get one to boot. Same reason I want a DOT, loved the game, played it often, etc.....I will get one someday, maybe..... ;)

Younger people will be more interested in new games based on the movie using the latest technology, not the 30 year old 400 pound version.

I could be wrong of course...but I really don't see Tron games skyrocketing in value.

I don't think the value is going to go up too much, but there will be a little spike. Not because of demand though, everyone will just reference the new movie when they're asked why their Tron machine is worth $2000 now.

Granted, I can't complain too much about it as $2000 is my asking price. But, that's been my price for it since I got the thing put back together a couple of years ago. I ask that because I don't want it sold, but if someone wants to give me 2 grand for it? Shiiiit... I'll help them load it.

I see MAYBE a $200 net increase in the cost of a machine... in GREAT shape, but not too much more than that.

Star Trek original pinball prices went up for a couple of weeks when the movie was out. I expect it to spike up just like Donkey Kong did. Maybe to about $1200.

My question wouldn't be "Why is it worth that much?" It'd be, "Where's your evidence that they sell for that much?" That's my go-to response whenever I hear a ridiculous price quote.

I'm getting pretty tired of seeing this ad. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/for/2032639126.html

I think it has been posted over and over for the last 8 months. Started at $3k then went to $2500 then $2000 then $1500 then back up to $2000. Decent looking Tron but ugh already!

I happened to watch the movie in it's entirety last night on my new HDTV with PA sound system going. Fucking awesome. It has been so long I forgot how cool it was. Can't wait to see 2.0. :D
