so i got a trackball for my 60 in 1 project...and it's going in a midway control panel...i'm curious about how this will go in the panel and whats the best way to mount it so the overlay looks good? is there a ring or something that goes around the lip and covers the overlay so its nice and neat looking or what is the best way to go about doing this so it doesnt look like a hack job on the overlay?

i have an RA trackball with the mounting kit.

Well, it depends on how the hole is made, the overlay used, and how it the hole is cut in the overlay.

For example, if you got a replacement Midway CP from Arcadeshop ($28) with the trackball hole already done:

And installed their CPO ($35) for it:

Then the 2-1/4" trackball would mount and look like this:

If you do it all by hand, then your results may vary...

yeah...i have a super pac man custom made CPO that I will have to cut...trying to figure out how to cut the CPO or see if there is anything like a ring insert that would mount on there to make it look nice...i guess if i have to cut the CPO I will have to just make a die cut stamp of some sort and just hammer it out? If you try to just cut it I am pretty sure it will just end up looking like crap.
