Once again im seeking help. i have track n field cab and i just purchased a tested and working board and I'm having issues that could possibly be the monitor? im not sure where to start. When i power it up i get nothing but a black screen with a couple horizontal lines. i have tried adjusting every knob i could find on the monitor with no results thus far. any suggestions would be great. thanks! i just hope i can contribute something to help one day instead of asking all these damn questions! I'm attaching a pic of what I'm seeing also.

First tell us what monitor you have connected, then whether you have an original Konami Classic harness connected to it, and finally show a pic of the video connector as it's connected to the monitor.

Can you hear it play?

I'm not sure about the harness i know there's a switcher added in the machine. do you have to get a different harness for this? I took a few pictures as i couldnt find a model number. Thanks again. no I can't hear any sound at all though, i tried coining up with no sounds. the board in the background of one of the pictures is the old one i haven't removed yet.

So, this is a dedicated TnF? If so, the harness should be the same.

Did your old board do the same? Are you getting good voltages at the power supply?

eah it was a dedicated tnf that was converted to a trivia whize so the old board was a trivia whiz.. or wiz quiz but yeah it did the same thing. I'm going to check out the power supply tomorrow and see what comes of it.

Assuming your new to all of this you'll need to use a digital multi meter and set it to VDC and put your black lead to the ground on the power supply and you'll want to put the red lead on (ONE at a time) the first two and last two pins on the harness, This is where you're voltages are supposed to be according to the pinouts for this board. If they don't match you have the wrong harness and I'd be suprised if you didn't damage the T&F board in the process. Good luck on getting it going.
