Picked up a track and field recently. The 1-4 player start buttons are leaf switches while the running buttons a micros (or whatever the digital switches are called).
This game did come with leaf switched originally, right? Was there anything special or unique about its buttons (like the 'special' buttons on a Donkey Kong).
Also, mine has a switcher in it. Initially I thought that had been hacked in somehow, but it seems that all of the other pictures I can find of track & Field have a switcher as well. I was under the impression that switching power supplies came around the same time as JAMMA did.
I'm guessing that this switcher is factory. Is that right?
