Finally got myself a T&F (thanks, Greg) and a Hypersports board as well (thanks, Darryl). Now, my question is, how do you guys with both boards in one cab wire it up? I see talk of T&F to JAMMA adapters with two-way JAMMA switchers, but that sounds like a lot of needless extra wiring. Is there an easier way? I figure if I'm going to fix the cab up in the coming weeks/months, might as well wire it for the extra board as well.

if you use the jamma adapter and 2 in 1 switcher you cannot play 4 player (I have been told)

I think jedidentist is an expert in this particular field.

I have contenplated several times how I will put both boards in one cab. I have considered 2 switchers with 2 wiring harnesses (but I haven't thought it out honestly)

I settled on 2 separate machines. but in the mean time I just swap boards.

I'm restoring a Hypersports and have a T&F board as well. Instead of killing the 3 and 4 player, I'm just mounting the boards close together in the cab and moving the Konami harness back and forth.

Yeah, I can't do away with the 4 player capability. Guess switching the harness back and forth it is. Just wish there was a better way.

Two harnesses?

Could you set it up with a harnesses on each board - wire each button to both harnesses and then have a switch controlling which board gets power?

I'm not sure what you would do with the video.
Another idea a friend gave me was to mount the boards near the coin door so you could reach in from the front and change it. Although in that case you would have to remove the coin door box and just leave the front of the coin door in place. Alternatively I guess you open the cp and reach in from there.

I have no idea what the boards look like, but if you could JAMMA wire up your cab, then get JAMMA adapters for each board, then hook both of them into a 2:1 switcher, then you would need to make 2 kick harnesses for the 3rd and 4th player controls for each of the boards? I dunno, I'm just figuring this as I trip through this hobby...

That's kind of what I was thinking too; maybe I can rig something up. I'd rather not get too crazy with a rat's nest of wires everywhere. Even trying to do it neatly, I don't think it would turn out too good. Maybe I'll just do what some others have done and get another cab next to the Track and Field for the Hypersports. :)
