So I just rebuilt 2 Track-balls on a Missile Command Cocktail game and one of them is not quite right. Anyone have any tips on fine tuning them? This one works but when you scroll to the right sometimes it moves but most of the time it doesn't.... hard to get a high score this way ;^)
Thanks.

It could be any number of things. Possibly the roller isn't spinning correctly when you move the ball - like you got it bound up somehow. Or, the optic board could be dirty or failing. It's easy enough to do some substituting, since the two optic boards are the same, and the horizontal and vertical rollers are also the same.

I'll pull it later tonight and see if theres anything obviously wrong. (BTW - These are a Pain In The Butt to pull)
I cleaned the optics and everything looked to be moving fine. Thing is it seemed to work fine for the first several games then started acting up.
Does anyone sell the opticals for these? Ive never had a bad one before, this may be my first one.

Just to follow up:
I finally got the time this weekend to pull this apart again. Turns out one of the bearing housings were not lined up correctly so there was way to much resistance on the one roller. I loosened up the screws, made sure it was spinning freely and then tightened them back up. Works great now.
