I know this topic has come up before, but I thought it was that if the cab has the "long" door its a hypersports, and if it had the standard size coin door it was a T&F?
The only reason I ask is that I acquired yet another T&F cab (has serial number on it indicating it is that), and it has the "long" door.
So does this mean that there was an early and late run of the cabs for both games then? or later runs of T&F turned into hypersports?
Just curious.

I certainly do not know your answer for certain, but it's reasonable to assume they threw some track and field kits into the hypersports(over/under) coin door cab.
I have had 5 or 6 of these cabs with the over/under and all of them had hypersports stickers on the back and internally. And a couple of them were converted to track and field.

I was told that the long coin door on the T&F means that is the late run model of the game, which makes sense since hyersports cabs came after and have long doors. But I'm not 100% certain though.

realistically it really doesn't matter, but I read a few discussions and I wanted to add this in there as I actually have an T&F with a over and under door. serial number is 13540 - judging by the way its painted it looks like it was originally intended to be a T&F - not a converted hyper.

Again, not that it makes any REAL difference, but it is some cool triva.
