Maybe this is a dumb question, but I'm a little stumped. In all my searching, I've found plenty of Track & Field cocktail CPO offerings, but zilch on actual control panels for a cocktail. No eBay listings, no reproductions, not even really a solid picture of one without artwork on it.

Are the cocktail control panels the same as the upright T&F control panels? I mean, they look pretty darn similar in shape and size, but I'm just at a bit of a loss. Anyone out there who can verify one way or the other? It would be much appreciated! :)

The cocktail control panels are slightly different.

Cool (and thanks!) - how much of a difference are we talking about? Slightly narrower/wider? More acute/obtuse angle at the fold? Just trying to weigh options for acquiring parts; if a repro upright panel can be modified, I'd rather go that route than have a set fabricated (at a much higher cost).

If you find someone who will let you borrow one I know some guys who make the aluminum skins for R2-D2 replicas, they should have the capability to reproduce one but you'd have to pay a price. Originals were made from steel and aluminum is naturally softer and more pliable so they won't be as thick or sturdy as originals.

But that's all I can offer in help. I had talked to them about making some Tron cocktail ones before I found a set.

I don't remember the exact differences, sorry.

I traded away an upright Track & Field a couple of years ago. It had the aftermarket trackball control panel on it. I tried to swap in a spare buttons-only control panel I had, but found out it was from a cocktail and wouldn't fit. I threw the spare control panel in on the deal.

That would be freakin' awesome, sir. Thank you very much for looking! :)

Sorry - I got side tracked last night and spaced it. Will do my best to put them side by side tonight - I just had some powder coated so they are already off the machines....

I can tell you without looking that one has holes for the four player buttons and the jump/run, but the other side only has the run/jump... my gut tells me they are very different though at the top lip...

You are correct, sir. I was finally able to learn the difference in dimensions for the CPOs, and they're definitely different: the cocktail CPO is 23-11/16" wide and 14-1/2" tall while the upright is 24-1/2" wide by 15-1/2" tall. So a difference of 13/16" wide and an inch between the two faces of the panel in height. Dangit.

Looks like I'll have to make these things out of wood, which I wasn't hoping for. If, by any chance, you could let me know what the dimensions of the panel faces of the cocktail control panels are, I would be incredibly grateful. Additionally, and, again, if possible, you could take a coupe of photos of the profile/side of the cocktail panels, I would also be very grateful.

Thank you again for looking into all this - it's just been oddly difficult to track down some of this information.

Just pulled them out - similar but very different dimensions... if you can find four other people who need them I could do a run of them - if they bought both sides... I could even do the hinges as well, but I'm not sure how that would affect the cost...
