Hi folks,

Well I finally got my cab setup in my house. It's a Bally Midway "Six Pack" cab running SEGA's Flicky.

In the process we found a couple of Aladdin's Castle tokens in the (what turns out to be half complete) coin mech. Here are some images I found online:

So I was wondering how I might go about tracing its history?

Would there be any records of Aladdin's Castle inventory?

Things I know about my cab:

- the cab is a dedicated Bally Midway "Six Pack"
- it was manufactured with Flicky in it, and it still has that in it
- it is numbered 00289
- the coin mech shows around 35000 plays
- I can look up other serial numbers and such, if they are useful

That's about all I know!

Any other info or thoughts as to how to trace it back would be appreciated.

I'm in the UK, so any USA-centric assumptions or information may need explaining to me.

Thanks,
matt

I know at least in the USA there isn't often an easy way to trace a cab. Usually a cab can only be completely traced if the owner tells you its full history or if it was HUO first. Records of old arcade chains' inventories would be an amazing find but I don't think anything of the sort has surfaced yet. There are sites and threads where some serial numbers are listed but that usually only helps you trace which other collectors have had a cab. Certain cabs have complex stories that have been traced but that seems to not often be the case.

Also, Flicky is an amazing game, one of my absolute favorites, I'd love to have a cab someday. Almost impossible to find one and incredibly underrated. Awesome pickup, and welcome to the addic- er, KLOV! :D

Yeah, what he said. It's hard to know where they've been.

Nice pickup on the Flicky. I like the Sega cabinet. I have a working board that I play with an adaptor in one of my JAMMA cabinets. Great game.

When people hear I have the cab they always ask first "what games does it have in it?!". When I tell them it has one game in it they look a bit confused. But this is a game that I will never* get tired of - one of my all time favourites. :)

I'll try tracing the cab back through its owners and see what happens.

*never say never
