Tovis Monitors on ebay

If you look at the pic, the monitor to the left has burn in. Looks like they took a picture of the best one. I would stay clear of any monitor that has been used in an 8-liner. They all have that signature slot machine burn in.

I expanded the image with Photoshop. They cleaned the image and that is why the face of the monitor looks flat and not curved.

I guess that is why they posted the small pic…

Yeah, look how the screen is basically all one color, no other shading or glare...

Seems suspicious... If you look at the top right corner of the monitor, you see the glare on the monitor except for where it's gray... You would think there should be some there.

Agreed. Look at the glare on the monitor directly behind that one.

I have a brand new Tovis in my DK and it has a pretty good pic.
The tube looks like a regular arcade type with rounded corners not squared off like those.
I may swap it one day with the rebuilt Sanyo that I have sitting on a shelf.

I would be reporting them for fraud that picture is doctored big time.

Definitely seems like you got an item that wasn't what was advertised. Id take a screenshot of the auction, save a copy of the image to your computer, and contest the auction. You didn't get what they said they were sending you.

Much to many people's ire, eBay favors heavily towards the seller, and it's douchebags like this that are the reason why. They're the same sort of douchebags that wouldn't hesitate to screw somebody over if they were the buyer (as evidenced in this forum many times.)
