First off, how many of you have a version of a touch screen game in your game rooms. Secondly, were there touch screen games around back in the 80's? Were they included in actual arcades.

I have 4 megatouches, 2 in my arcade and 2 in my basement bar. In the arcade I have a Radion and a Vibe, both are running force 2006.5 and are linked together. In the bar I have a Megatouch Gametime (Awesome machine) and a upright Maxx Ruby.

Id like to have one like I see bars today cause I play them alot but damn they arent cheap. Are yall getting them at auctions and then upgrading them or are you actually shelling out a lot of dough for them.

I just picked up a Megatouch Maxx Emerald for $275, in great shape with a dollar bill acceptor. It's the only machine in my house that isn't set on free play and people still pay to play it.

I've got a megatouch diamond maxx. Wife and daughter really like it. Definitely a popular game with guests as well.

I recently converted a touch screen kiosk into a jukebox/game machine. The games I've got installed are slot machine games from Masque, and several games from PopCap games.

The only feature that I can't figure out how to do is change the volume of the games independently from the jukebox. Since it's just a PC running XP, the volume control affects everything. This just means that I either use it as a jukebox or a game machine, not both at the same time.

I have four working megatouches and 3 in need of repair.
I seem to remember them being in bars and restaurants more than arcades.

If anyone wants one hit me up. :)

I have a Megatouch Force 2006.5 and my wife and I played the heck out of them in the 90s in bars. It's hand down the most played game in my game room.

I have two Megatouches. One is at my house for my wife, and the other is in my bar. IIRC the first megatouches didn't show up until the early/mid 90's. I have never seen them in an arcade. They have always been in a bar or restaurant.

I got a dead megatouch xl gold and repaired it a couple of years ago.
It's now running the titanium 2 software.

I love it. It's a cool little machine and it gets a lot of playtime from
both me and my wife.

Eventually, I'd like to upgrade it to a force, but that will have to wait
until the cost of the motherboard comes down to a more reasonable level.

It would be cool to see a megatouch homebrew development scene, but any
information that would allow the megatouch to operate in any way beyond
what it was intended to do seems to be nonexistent.

We have a Megatouch 6 and the wife loves it. I dont think touchscreens were around in the 80's. The Merit Megatouch games started around 1994 I believe, and other manufacturers (cheaper games) maybe a few years earlier at best. Before that Merit was doing the "pit boss" games (I believe in the 80's) but those were pushbutton, not touchscreen. I have never seen a Megatouch in an arcade, and acually I never even know until recently that they made 19" uprights (My guess would be in casinos?), which is what we have now. Before that I had only seen the 13" bartops.
