As the title suggests I have a dead Tosh PB9445 dual res monitor here that I'd like to get up and running but seems likely it keeps blowing the HOT (was dead short on all pins) and in trouble shooting someone before me has removed "QQ08" which looks to be some sort of transistor connected to both the 15/24 khz selector and possibly fed by the HOT as looks to go through a diode and resistor before connecting to the HOT's emitter.
I also mention the PB6643 since it looks to be almost identical and has that component. Also PB7534 has it but it's designated "Q802".
Since service manuals don't seem to exist for these (really bo information out there other than a cap list) would anyone happen to know what this QQ08 should be replaced with? Or any experience with these chassis?
They seem remarkably like they would have replaced the Nanao MS9 chassis as all mounting and connectors are the same, even the remote board layout is identical but that's where the similarities end.
I believe they almost exclusively were used in Konami Benmai games circa 2000.
