Anyone know if/where I can find a replacement torsion spring like this? I discovered one was broken in the steering yoke of my Vapor TRX and need to source a replacement. The manual has it listed as Atari part #10-527. I checked @Mylstar 's site (as he seems to be one of the only arcade sites I found with them) but couldn't find one quite like it.

Thanks!

Maybe cut one of these down -

Not a bad idea, but the length of the center loop where it'd be cut doesn't look like it'd be long enough

Just wanted to update this thread.

I received the two Star Wars flight yoke springs from @Mylstar yesterday. They turned out to be drop-in replacements for my Vapor TRX flight yoke with no adjustments needed. I played a test game of Vapor and everything feels good and worked perfectly.

One thing to note is that the Star Wars springs have slightly less tension to them than the original Vapor torsion springs. Not a big deal at all for me. Other than that, they work great. If either torsion spring ever breaks in my other Vapor, I wouldn't hesitate to use the Star Wars springs.

I got my Paperboy in the early 2000s. The control panel needed some work, including some new springs. Springs were rare for PB back then. I kid you not, for a year, I looked every day on Ebay before a set came up, which I bought. I was always proud of my perseverance. That rebuild is one of the reasons I'll not easily part with the game.
