So I just nabbed a Top Skater off ebay for a very decent price. Guy says he bought it working, and pulled it out of storage a year later and when he fires it up, no picture. He tells me that the "G meter" ? on the back was "triped" indicating it was "jared" over limit. Anyone familiar with this? Im planning on picking it up this weekend, hoping I can get her up and running....

with the 50 inch monitor right?

hope to hell something came loose or you dont have 115vac to the monitor...

ciz if you got power and connections are good then its something int he monitor, and theres almost no fixing those damn things..

if for some rare reason you have pcb issues i do have a working set..

Yeah, after a little klov research, I agree with you, and I have an extra 50 inch plasma monitor sitting in my garage if needed, I had just never heard what this guy is talking about before, but then again, I've never owned a 50 inch projo game either. Either way, its in really good shape and its a steal for the price I'm paying, so, I'm hoping for the best!

Many of Sega's later games came with a meter like this on them. It is usually on the back, where it is clearly visible. The purpose was to indicate rough handling, so the new machine owner could address said handling with the shipping company if needed.

I don't know how it works, and I do not know how much force is required to trip it.

So, I've seen a couple projo games with lcd screens mounted over top to replace the projo. Whats involved in this? Is there a specific adapter?

Got another question....I have a chevy colorado. Any owners know if it'll fit there, or will I need to bring my trailer too?

You're going to need a trailer. The game is in three pieces, at least mine was. The marque comes off as does the screen. The platform with the skateboard stays intact. Everything is on wheels so it isn't that bad moving, just very big. I would definitely bring the trailer. Good luck with it, it is a cool machine

Thanks for the advice, the trailer was definitely needed! Had to take off the railings from the base to get it in my basement door. This is for sure the biggest game I've ever put in my arcade. Looking forward to getting everything back together and getting her up and running. Im expecting it to take a few days due to my schedule this week. I'll try to get some pics up soon as well..

Theres a kit from Happ and Betson that runs about $1400.00 with the mounting hardware (I think). I cant seem to find either kit on either site right now though.

Thanks guys! So, so far, I've found tickets inside this thing from Lake Compounce amusement park, tokens from cedar point and another arcade, and the guy I bought it from in alabama said he bought it in atlanta! So, this big guy has been around! Gonna try to get the projo up and running today after work..
