Top curled over on Sharp XM 2001N in a PlayChoice 10
The image at the top of the screen was folding over on itself so I decided to do a cap kit. After the cap kit, the picture still looks the same. I read somewhere on here that someone had a similar issue and C504 was the issue. The pads at this location have been damaged, but I followed the traces on the back of the board and ran jumpers to the next solder points down the line in the trace. Continuity checks out on these.
I checked the B+ and it was high (maybe the culprit?) I tested at TP91 and I could only get it down to 133V DC using the potentiometer.
I checked the AC voltage coming into the monitor at the connector on the monitor. It was 107V.
I'm sure the B+ voltage needs to be addressed, but would that cause the curl at the top of screen? Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
