Are you absolutely positive the balls were actually smaller? I've never heard of anybody doing that, that's crazy!

Trust me i know what they mean I just find it stupid when somebody is looking for some tech help and they can't even post the full name of the machine in the thread title. I may know how to fix the problem but wouldn't help just because of that.I guess there were to many acronyms for gordanfan in this post!!
It's nice to hear that an operator is keeping his machines in good working order.I made a trip back to GK last night. I know what threw us off on ball size.
As I mentioned the pitch is super high on these games. The moving parts action (such as slings shots/bumpers/flippers) of every pin in that place is uber strong. Because of the hellaciously fast game play where as most other places we go the pins don;t play like this, it seriously makes the balls look smaller when they are getting rallied around a table that fast. So bottom line I was wrong which is ok. I want to find out who the heck does their pin work and get them to my house! lol
Problem that I run into with increasing the pitch too much is that the flippers have more trouble getting the ball back up to the top of the playfield. Of course my experiance has been mostly on EM machines and early SS machines.I have my games set pretty steep as well for the most part. Usually 7-7.5. When you have a freshly cleaned playfield, new rubbers, new balls, and all the switches are gapped perfectly the games play awesome. Addam's family really kicks my ass when it's all cleaned up, plays like a totally different game![]()

Well you're still correct. The one thing I hated about the pitch being so darn steep is that some of the machines you couldn't hit the ramps easily.
I mean a dead on shot may or may not allow the ball to flow through which can really suck on certain games that a light ramp hit causes SDTM.![]()
