Uh...that's a model for sure. Look at the size of the "sticks"... They'd be the size of apples if it was full size.

I actually would have Golden Tee in the top ten. I don't even like the game, but it is so insanely popular. EVERY bar has one, and they are often being played.

Still think NBA JAM, Out Run, Virtua Fighter and DDR could easily be replaced with..
Galaga, Centipede, Tempest and Mortal Kombat
just an opinion.

Galaga definitely deserves to be on the list.

As for drivers, I would put Daytona USA on that list rather than any other driver. It's still in the arcades, making money, 17 years after it was released. I would not be surprised if Daytona USA has made more money than any other arcade game, ever. 50 cents a play plus head to head action = huge money. I saw a machine with 1.5 million clicks on the coin counter a few years ago. That's an incredible haul.

Shooter - House of the Dead. Still making money after years of being in the arcade.

yeah, i think it should be on there. my only thing was they called it a stupid game. i disagree. i think they forgot how many other successful multi player sports games there were.

All of the others I can see...except

Asteroids...The case can be made but I think it is lost in a sea of other classics...I would put Galaga or Galaxian in its place. It fits better, and Galaga if I am not mistaken was the most produced game of that era.

i think galaga or galaxian should be on there, but in place of space invaders. they both reworked the top down shooter, and added color.

They did rework it, add color and maybe even made gameplay better (debatable but I think they did), but both Galaga and Galaxian combined were never bigger than Space Invaders.

If SI had never been, Galaga would have made the list, but there is simply no getting out of the shadow that SI casts over vertical shooters.

FWIW, I prefer Galaxian.
