8. Candy Cabs - Chatting up with gibbous and TRONFREAK about candy cabs and playing them.

I am really liking the love these "washing machines" and shmups were getting. I really wanted to get in on Ketsui, but I never could! I hope we can group all the shmups together next year. A couple of mini cabs in the corner had Twin Bee and Dragon Blaze going on. I hope we see more shmups next year, especially more hard to get (read: expensive) PCBs like Ketsui and DoDonPachi DFK. I'm seriously considering bringing my Megalo 410 next year. I'd love to show off a Progear or Gigawing PCB in it.

Oh, and related to the Spy Hunter sitdown, Paul Dean got on there and put up a 1.4 mill score. He crashed his last three lives because they were closing up. Damn, I really regret not having time to install that lithium battery.

I dont know if I have a top 10 list per say just because the weekend seemed to fly by so fast. Highlights for me included:

-Dinner Friday night w/ my wife, Shawn, and Chris. We had a blast sitting and talking, sharing stories, eating good food, and bustin chops.

-Late Friday night sitting down around the tables BS'ing with Sav, Fritz, JimKirk, Josie, Jawhn, Cleverlyj, Phet, and Chris. Thanks again Sav and Chris for making the liquor store run when the bar closed.

-Getting to try GackAttacks beer he brought with him. Man, it was tasty. I also enjoyed playing ZooKeeper with GackAttack standing next to me telling me the story of when he was a kid and pissed his pants playing ZK. Great effing story, haha!

-Saturday AM finally getting to meet Paul and his awesome GF.

-Saturday watching JeffC show how Quantum can be manipulated to score insane amounts of points on the first level. Awesome! I also enjoy sitting and BS'ing with you at the airport Sunday AM. I wish you felt better too, cause I could have talked games that whole flight home, ha.

-Having a heart to heart with Fritz about life and how fucked up banks are. He made me feel better about life in general. Thanks Fritz.

-Meeting 30Fathom finally.

-Jawhn yelling "ITS POOL TIME!"

-Playing Paperboy with Skater. Dude taught me all the tricks I know the past few years on the boards, so it was cool finally being able to meet him. He's on another level at that game, for sure.

Great day on Saturday. I really dug seeing KLOVers I met at our warehouse sale again. It was great to hear how happy people were with their stuff hey came home with. Fun hanging out with Jess and Johnnie, Slackmoe, TRONFREAK, Back2the80s, for lunch.

It was also great to meet a few dudes before and after the KLOV pic. I was a little aggressive in introducing myself but life's too short to act too cool for school.

I actually played more pinball than vids. There were way too many pins I would never get to play otherwise. I was pumped to play Medievil Madness, Cactus Canyon, Earthshaker, Starship Troopers. Too bad some dude was hogging Big Bang Bar. Dudes should know it's common curtesy to look behind you after you're done with a game to see if anyone's waiting.

Black Widow blew me away again. It was my favorite game there and now next on my want list. The color vector looks amazing.
