CAX is the new Tron. At least for about a week or so.
Top 10 CAX 2011 Moments

Hasnt CAX happened the last 15 years in a row though? Seems the people who cant go for whatever reason (other commitments, money issues, people with social issues, etc) are the ones who talk down about it. It really is a good time, and everyone you meet/hang out with are good dudes.
Each CAX seems to be different from the one before... What made this one special/interesting...
In and Out Burger I had never been before, and I was somewhat surprised by the fact that it was actually pretty good. I walked there the first day and as I approached it, it stunk like an awful skunk burger, but I had to go through with it anyway... and it really was good. The fries sucked.
Friday Night Play Sneaking in on Friday night and playing games with no wait, no lines was awesome.
Fancy Badges It was fun having a fancy badge as well as the normal one. I noticed some people had badge envy... and of course the sheer entertainment value of Jawhn getting wasted was worth it.
Taking the Light Rail It was nice to be able to scope out some surrounding areas. Went to Mountain View and saw about 50 restaurants on one main area... but took the rail back starving
Jehovah Witness Convention Yes, there were about 5000 of them, but watching them was quite interesting for so many reasons.
Warm Temps and Glorious Sunshine I haven't seen enough of that yet, and chances are I won't see too much of it.
Jawhn He gets his own mention because he was fun, funny, entertaining... he had some crazy ideas and was willing to execute some of them - mostly with Jehuie's Tempest. His texts were a joy to receive when they were completely incoherent!
Group Picture It was great to see such a large group of KLOV'ers in one area. I applaud The Drewsters' courage to allow someone to create a leash so he could be humiliated... (it was not my idea!)
Varkon This game really should be mine. I enjoyed playing many games with many people. I admit I suck at many, but am okay at some too. I even had the High Score on Galaga at 11:10 on Sat. morning I should have taken a picture of it, because it certainly didn't last long!! I kicked XXI21's butt on Black Knight... so that was pretty rewarding.
KLOV'ers I truly find you guys to be an amazing group of men, and I am honored to be able to call you friends.

Thank you Wendy for bringing this thread back to life by sharing some thoughtful memories from the show. It makes me feel better even more than knowing I'm not the shortest KLOVer.

Actually, Im not sure I will be at CAX next year. We all talked about going up to the Seattle show next year. Never been, and I hear that city is awesome to visit. Maybe it will fall on the weekend of a Mariner game, too.
