tool for this connector

The only tool I use are flush cutters as I snip it loose and throw it in the trash can. Then I replace it with a good connector with trifurcon pins...

:D:D:DMe too.....I don't even own an insulation displacement tool. I detest IDC connectors.

When I do "repair" them....I just use a small flat bladed screwdriver and a small punch.
I hate spending money on tools for connectors I detest anyways.
 
+1 that sentiment. Every IDC pin I encounter (on my games) gets removed and replaced with crimp-on terminals (usually the original IDC housing will hold the new crimp pins just fine).
