I hadn't turned the game on in a couple of years.
It fires right up and plays fine for a few minutes... then the monitor goes out with a slight flash. The game continues... playing blind.
Not sure if the HV goes away... haven't checked the back yet for neck glow.
If I turn it off for awhile and turn it back on, it works again for a few minutes.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Suggestions?

The medium res monitors in these things heat up pretty bad. It needs a cap kit and flip the chassis to see the burn marks and broken solder traces you'll need to repair and reflow.

I'm ok with doing a cap kit... certainly couldn't hurt. Do you think there will be other issues though... as you mentioned... burn marks, etc.?
It had been working fine. All I did was ignore it for a couple years.
Ha.

You're in MN? Contact Chris25810, he's patched up at least one of these same WG K7xxx modified monitors for me. It was also from a Toobin. There will most likely be cold solder joints in your case.
