seen this today less then a few miles from my work

http://delaware.craigslist.org/zip/2203953579.html

turned out to be a pretty ratty TOOBIN. my buddy with the truck didnt answer the phone so i started stripping

real nice CP, monitor, cardboard bezzel, glass, marquee, waterfall lighting fixture, game board, coin door and mechs, some other board.

so right when im about to leave a guy comes walking out and says "ya that game works great! oh shit, who took it all apart?!?!"

all the stuff was in my car so i just said "damn, i dont know i would have liked to have it"

the cab was crap. looked like it was in a lake and someone hammered a new floor to it

its all for sale by the way

couldn't you have put some repair time into the cabinet? Toobin cabinets aren't gonna come around real often, unless you just plan on selling the parts

m going back and getting it tomorrow if its still there. your right it is a really unique cab design

1970 ford maverick actually and ya, its just a big piece of foam im going to use under a futon i have

-greg, you got 2nd dibs if the first guy doesnt come through

hell na, the monitor was the first thing i pulled out of it

the only thing i didnt pull was the was a dirty nasty power transformer on the floor and some of the wires running around

Yea I didn't see it until about 5 this afternoon. I knew it wouldn't be worth the 20 minutes drive that late after the ad. Good pull!

IMO it seems kinda crappy of you to strip all the parts, just to flip... but I guess you got to it first, so it's yours to do what you want.

A few years ago a coworker told me about a Space Invaders Deluxe by his apartment dumpster, and I didn't have my truck or van, so I went and stripped the parts at lunch, so nobody else would want the cab... then picked up the cab after work. Because it's empty, I wouldn't be at all surprized if the empty Toobin cab is still sitting there tomorrow.

well heres the thing. a rustic looking working game wouldnt bother me. id put it right in the collection with the rest of my games. im actually really pissed no one with a truck took my call and its not in my game room right now. i might go get the cab tomorrow and put it back together still. i damn sure just wasnt gonna leave it thre though!

but i think saving the parts, making a few bucks and helping a few of you guys put your games in better condition isnt such a bad thing is it?

Well, now it's missing the power brick, switcher, and control panel latches. That thing was water damaged as hell, even on the inside. I guess I got there too late, was hoping to get a med res monitor at least.

ya i think someone took the whole cab "toobin" lol

i did take the monitor, i just didnt list it for sale.

there was actually a woman there with a truck who came for a desk but decided she didnt want any and was going to leave. i offered her $25 to take the game about 7 miles to my house and she said no, she was afraid it was going to weigh her car down too much

Weigh her truck down too much? What did she think it weighed 1000 lbs?

The side art did look nice, but that cab was definitely unsalvageable. I should have set it on fire before I left :)
