I will use f&f for trusted members aka long long standing members. But if I've never dealt i will request ask g&s add fees blah. Also im done endorsing or vouching for people, ive found most of them to be assholes.

Your answer makes sense, but FUCK THE IRS. Once used items get bought and sold, taxes have already been paid. Double/Triple/Quadruple (ad nauseum) taxes is absofuckinglutely ridiculous, and I won't have it.
Nearly 100% of my hobby transactions are now local, most in-cash. But a growing segment of my transactions are barter and trade transactions too. I pay enough taxes as it is.

The rule is just there to help prevent someone from getting ripped off, nothing more.
So what rule is there to help prevent a good seller from getting ripped off?
That happens, you know.
I'm going to do what I'm going to do. I've read the rule (first time actually) and the way it's worded, it makes it seem like even what I do (not advertise F&F but require a guaranteed form of payment from a newb) is "against the rules". Can you please clarify... are the rule intended for "advertisement purposes" or if I tell some new guy with no feedback that I'm gunna need a check (and it clear), zelle, or F&F and he gets pissed and "reports" me, am I gunna get spanked?
Don't be bringing common sense in here. We have rules to follow.anyone having reservations about dealing with someone - regardless of payment details - don't deal with them. simple as

I have bought boards from you before, F&F and would do so again without hesitation. Great seller.I was just told to edit my sale posts or they would deleted
I told them to delete them and I will sell my boards elsewhere
Being in Canada friends and family is just so much easier and I have had PayPal convert the USD to CAD on me with G&S
I have sold enough here to be trusted I think
If a user really had an issue with it I would do G&S but I have had no argument
Oh well… life goes on
Appreciate itI have bought boards from you before, F&F and would do so again without hesitation. Great seller.

Please rephrase this good sir.I only take members of the 1966 Toronto Maple Leafs.
If you sold the item via G&S, the buyer needs justification to try and dispute your sale, and in the end it's pretty easy to send PayPal pics of the item you sold and how you packaged it. I've had to do this maybe 2-3 times over the years I've sold via eBay/PayPal, and as the seller I've won every time.So what rule is there to help prevent a good seller from getting ripped off?

Exactly, it's the only argument people have here against G&S.In this thread: People openly admitting to tax evasion. Haha
It has nothing to do with Tax Evasion. With what I spend on parts, time and materials, etc, I could easily itemize the overhead and wash any tax liability. The issue for me is that is a ton of work. Keeping track of every purchase, insisting I get receipts from cash sales, etc.If you sold the item via G&S, the buyer needs justification to try and dispute your sale, and in the end it's pretty easy to send PayPal pics of the item you sold and how you packaged it. I respect your position, but there is some contradicts in what you are saying. It has nothing to do with Tax Evasion. This is a hobby with the goal it brings some happiness. Running it like a business is not something I plan on doing.
If you aren't happy with my terms, them move along; keep scrolling. I absolutely comply with the 'Rules' on this Forum, but also reserve the right to choose who I do business with as a seller/service provider.
I know a lot of sellers follow these types of threads and add names to their list of people they never want to work with..(this one is a gold mine!)
