had all my games on xmas eve and the lights started to flicker a few times. how many games can you put on one outlet?

I've been running about 3-4 games on each one of my two power strips. Each power strip is plugged into it's own outlet. I've had zero problems.

It depends how many amps the games are pulling, how many amp circuit is in your house, and if you have 14 or 12ga wire

+1

I have 2 power strips on two separate outlets in the same room. 3 games to each power strip. Haven't had any problems so far. Though, I don't know how my place is wired to be honest. It was built in 2009 if that makes a difference.

There have been a number of large threads on powering your games. You should search for them.

EDIT:
After a quick search:

I'm sure there's more.

i've run 10 games, one desktop and one mini-fridge on a single 15 amp circuit without issue. my house has all brand-new 12-gauge romex wiring as of 2008 which may help.

Well I've managed to blow a breaker with 8 games, a mini-fridge, some neon, a heater, and a huge amp/radio going. I don't know what else is on the circuit since it is a shared 15 amp, but it is a storage so how much can really be pulling on it ;) I have full intentions of running a 60 amp circuit to my gameroom sometime this spring/summer to power all my crap.

the heater will do that... most portable heaters will pull from 10-15 amps on their own when run on full. i'm hoping that i'll have get to have 60 amps in my dedicated space when it's finished with three 15-amp circuits for games and related stuff and one for a heater.
