Here's what I grabbed tonight.

Asteroids upright (assumed not working)

Asteroids Deluxe cocktail (assumed not working)

I haven't got into either yet for testing but found 2 spare asteroids pcbs inside of asteroids deluxe....

And the small celebration. All of my games were working until I bought these 2. So now I technically can't say all of my games are working lol. But I got some good projects :)

Upon initial tests I found the following:

Asteroids Deluxe - Blown fuse (replaced that), powered on. Plays blind. Sounds like a small hissing noise coming from the monitor. It does have neckglow and the red light on the monitor chassis, but nothing showing on screen.

Asteroids - Everything looked good on the initial inspection so I fired it up with PCB #1. It made some weird noises and P1-P2 were blinking. Got one white dot dead center on the screen but that's all. Put in PCB #2 and I got solid lights on the PCB. Then I started messing around with the test switch and it gave me a code, high, high, low. Time to research and do some fixing :)

P.S. Fully updated my VAPs. Yikes it was way out of date. :p

You made my Asteroids jealous. I traded a Super Pac-Man cocktail to get it. Great pickup. I don't care much for cocktails but that is a great pickup, especially with having 2 extra PCBs included.

Sounds like your Deluxe PCB may be working but both monitors and the other boards need work. A reflow of all the headers may be all that's needed for the monitors (both deflection and HV) but I'd recap them while you have them out.

For the game PCBs, let me know if you want to trade one of your extra PCBs for repairing the other two.

Yea, I'm going to keep doing some research. There's a lot out there, just need to get a game plan and parts list ready. I'll keep you in mind though if I run out of luck on repairs. I also found out that there was only one extra Asteroids PCB. Apparently the previous owner took both out of Asteroids and put them inside of Asteroids Deluxe...

For the game PCBs, let me know if you want to trade one of your extra PCBs for repairing the other two.
