Tokens - how much would it cost to get custom made ones?

I was thinking about this the other day.. How much would it cost to get custom made tokens? It would be awesome to get tokens made with my name, or a logo of my own on it. I get you have to order huge gigantic lots to actually get them done.. It would be nice to have that in a gameroom

Anyone knows about this?

I love tokens, but that's a waste imho. Buy some used tokens from noice, you'll get some cool stuff in the batch and it won't break the bank. Blow the rest of the money on a new game. Just sayin'

I am saving up for my custom tokens. Once you have your game collection set, what else are we going to spend our money on? :D

Your collection will NEVER be set. I thought mine was and sold off the SW cockpit and soon to trade away millipede. I'll be rotating some new stock in for the next Halloween party. I guess I like finding tokens in my stash that I remember using bitd. I like the history. sis boom bah

+1 I've got plans for custom tokens myself but my priorities are different than most folks on here.

I want to do some custom tokens as well. The biggest hurdle is the 5000pcs min buy. I think my BC25 only holds just over 3k. I don't know if I should go with a more generic token so I could sell the ones I don't need or not.

Don't know that I need custom tokens for my home but it would be cool if CAX or KLOV or whatever did a token as a collectible.

I've got 2500 in 2 standard hoppers, and I could get more in them if I needed to. So with 3 hoppers I'd think you could get at least 4500, but perhaps not 5000. That said, 2500 tokens lasts me forever so I'm not too worried about getting more. Maybe if they were really cool and cheap enough. :D

I want them mostly because I've really set my gameroom up as a gameroom. All the machines are running on tokens and I have a rowe BC25 bill changer. I've named my gameroom "The Game Pit" (because it is dark and in the basement) and have ordered a sign from IvanTT. It would really be cool to tie it all together with a custom token.

Currently I have about 3k of generic tokens. About the only thing I did to make them cool was to paint them with florescent paint so they glow like crazy when they are dispensed from the changer. Also makes it really easy to find them with the blacklights on when you drop em

There are some places that will make them with just an order of 1000 tokens.

Kind of resurrecting an old thread here. I would like to set all of my games up to play on tokens rather than free play. I like to actually insert something and here it coin up and I also want to be able to control who and when they are being played. Think kids and friends.

So I started looking on ebay first. There are a lot of bulk tokens out there for decent prices I guess, but most of what I saw was pretty beat up and worn or else extremely generic. So I started looking at the places that will custom make tokens. Some of the places have stock designs so there is no die charge but the designs are pretty generic.

I started to wonder if maybe I could get enough people to agree on a custom design together to go in on a large enough quantity to make it worthwhile. I also love the idea of having a KLOV token if that would be allowed.

So anyway, I wanted to see if anyone has done anything more with this and gauge the interest people might have in getting custom tokens for their gameroom. If we only went with one size, would .984 be the best size? I'm oldish so brass is what I think of when I think of tokens. Can we put a collage of game titles on one side of a coin without worrying about the legality of it? No one would be profiting from it as they would be sold at cost...but then I guess someone could sell for a profit later on. Thoughts anyone?

I went with .900 tokens because the .984 would not work in my Change Machine (Quarter Hoppers). You would also have to modify Bally games as the metal slot cover will be too narrow.

I have 1,000 tokens and it seems to do pretty well. I'm thinking of getting 1,000 more just to have more :)

Ok, so if .900 tokens will work in all games that accept quarters and .984 won't then I agree with using .900

Think we could get approval to make a coin that has the VAPS logo on one side and a KLOV logo on the other? I think that would be cool.

My local collecting group is about to do a run of tokens 5000 for $1000. I'd suggest .984's too. That really isn't limiting as the Bally games just need a very slight dremeling of the coin slot for them to fit. That said I'm not really interested in klov tokens because I have more than enough and I chipped in for 500 more from the local group. Darthphunk is the guy who is doing our run of tokens if you have questions about having them minted.
