Best place to buy new .984 token mechs? Converting over from quarters and need 20 right off the bat for the arcade.

If this is for a personal game room, I suggest converting the ones you have. There's a thread about that. It's not too hard. Basically what I do is mod the entry chute to make sure the token can drop into the mech, and then shoot some hot glue in above the reject slot to create a slanted ramp that forces it to go through the accept slot no matter what. Doesn't take long to do once you get the hang of it.

I was going for .984 which is slightly smaller than a quarter I believe.

I've just been modding mine as per the article. As long as you're not using them to make money on location it is a great compromise as then your machines will accept anything you drop into them

hrm, well now that's news. Anyone familiar with the Fun 'N Games tokens or Aladdin's Castle? Were those .900's?
I'd been told those were .984's in the past and obviously those coins were smaller than a quarter. Bad info in, bad info out I guess.
Wow here I was about to buy 20 .984 token mechs for the wrong coin type.

I have a ton of .900 tokens

Ill look and see if i have mechs im sure i do..namco tokens were and still are.900 btw, thats what u want... If anybody else wants to buy tokens whats the going rate?????qty 1000???qty 5000??

I approached Noice on the coin mechs he mentioned. I know I need 20 right off the bat for the games presently in my arcade.
When I get the Rowe - BC25 beast back up and running I can look more seriously about custom tokens and the sort.

When I started collecting I decided to use Happs $.25 & .984" QST Token Coin Mech. That way I could use both but back then they were around $9-10.00 each and I do use .984 tokens which are a little larger than a quarter. Now Happ wants $25.70 each for these same coin mech so I just started useing the old quarter mech's and modding them to work with tokens sense it's just for my game room. I dont know why they cost so much because theirs not much to them. I guess that's how they make money, make for nothing sell for hi dollar.
