This monitor doesn't seem to be very well documented.

Mine looks great for a while, then gets really dark. Randomly, it comes back for anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 hours before going dark again and back on after a while.

I did a full recap (including the filter cap) and reflowed most of the parts of the chassis, with no change.

From what I've read, one possible cause could be a failing flyback, but they seem to be impossible to find.

Any other ideas?

I have plenty of these chassis on hand if you need one for parts however I am located in Australia.
Let me know if you can't find the schematics for it as I have it as well.
Have you checked the adjustment pots and does yours have the external adjustment pot PCB?

Thanks for the reply.

The pots look fine - I reflowed them and hit them with some contact cleaner. They continue to work after the monitor goes dark - when it goes, I can adjust the brightness to bring back at least some picture. Then after a while, everything gets super bright and I can adjust the brightness back down to an acceptable level.

It doesn't have a remote board. I did find a schematic, but it kind of sucks (or maybe I'm just dumb :)).

Thanks for the offer to sell a parts board...if I'm unable to diagnose it, I may need to buy one. That might be a last resort, due to freight cost, but I really appreciate the offer!
