Todd Tuckey - TNT amusements Should Be Banned

Oh well , I guess no one else cares about preserving games , thats fine . I thought this forum was about that , guess not .

How long until you post the good bye KLOV post?

I have actually heard this all before and these same arguments before. The bottom line is this is America, and it is his personal property and he can do whatever whenever he damn well pleases with it. Mind your own F-ing business! If he didn't part out machines, parts would not be available to rebuild, restore or fix machines currently on the market. Here is another shocker for you, their isn't enough money (big evil word) to make it worth peoples wild to reproduce some parts for machines. Here is another shocker, douche bags like you wouldn't pay the cost to actually buy the part for your game if someone did produce it. You might even say that they should just give it to you because after all you are restoring a game, and isn't that what this is all about? I don't really know you, and I don't know what your specific beef is, but I have been on this board for years and this argument comes up from time to time by different people who "feel" that someone isn't doing things the way they think they should. This is a forum on the internet, and I can honestly tell you this is one of the best around. This is a tight community and I have made friends who I see off line and when we can we help each other out.

I think I might start a thread to ban you, just for suggesting that we ban someone else, because honestly, I don't like the way your conducting yourself and this is not what this site is all about.

In the real world, everything costs money, and everyone has responsibilities, if we can help each other out, win! Basically, everything on this forum is free, free site, free technical support, free exchange of ideas. It is awesome! So don't take it for granted,
your parents may spoon feed you, but don't expect the rest of the world to do so.

I watched the video for the 8 games getting thrown off the Roof of the building..

Was this before he came here too KLOV? I know it says the video is from 2001 not 2011.

really clear video for 2001.

That should have not happened too these games .. But i still don'nt think he should be banned for it.

I have broken down a trashed Defender, water damaged Asteroids and mouse-infested GORF in the past. If he leaves, should I go with him? (Don't answer that truthfully :D )

Besides, that Tempest was very rough. Did anyone else notice that the tube that came out of it was NOT a K6100? K6100's dont have an orange/copper colored deflection yoke ;)

If that were the case, we'd have to ban everyone with a 60-in-1, MAME, or converted cab. After all, if it's not original, then it hasn't been preserved...

I feel like that video was in really poor taste and destroying vintage games probably isn't going to help you earn any vintage gaming fans but that's on him. I don't really see a reason to ban someone over it

Who else agrees Todd Tuckey - TNT amusements should be Banned from KLOV ? Post your response . Maybe with enough people complaining the mods will step up and do it . This site is about preserving games right ?

Disagree. I have dealt with Todd on here and on eBay, and in all our interactions he has been a straight up guy.

ArcadeMaze!

I parted out games in the past just to keep the better parts to make a different game better. Not all games can be saved. Todd is a good guy. Most of the games that he destroys are either missing board sets or all the good parts have been taken off.

He won't be banned. What a lot of people here don't realize is that this place is all about statistics, not preserving games. All that matters here is page hits, number of games listed on VAPS in peoples membership portfolios, thread counts, etc.

There are some of us that have deleted all the games from our Vaps accounts under protest. If you really want to make a statement that is probably the best way to do it and get Greg's attention.

This is not sarcasm, this is a fact. A thread like Todds is good for the site in the eyes of Greg. It creates lots of page hits and posts.

Sad but true...

Edit: If you really want to make a statement, delete all the games in your VAPS account and then PM Greg and let him know why.

This is rediculous.....seriously! Todd has rebuilt/ restored more machines than ANYBODY else on this forum. He has been doing it for 30 years! Those games were junk, and the video shows what he does with junk games. HE DOESN"T SELL JUNK GAMES! I think to drop them off a roof, is crazy sight. He has a infomercial on local TV, and that is something that would draw attention to somebody flipping through the channels on TV.
I don't blame him for not giving away the machines, or parting them out. It's probably not worth his time. Why spend the time and pay employees to dismantle a machine, and take 50 pictures, and then answer 50 questions and emails, just to pack up and ship a $5.00 part? He has given away free items in the past, and has gotten screwed. He used to leave machines out on his loading dock, and people would just strip off the parts, and leave the empty cabinet, for him to dispose of. Or they would ask him to hold inside for a week, and never show up. So many people crying to save these machines, but it seems not many people want to actually do it when a basket case machine is available.

Because dragging those games up to the roof, videotaping it, and then cleaning up the aftermath was no work at all. What really is amazing is how many people are on his nutz.
