Todd Tuckey TNT Amusements has full scale Heart Attack, Misses Allentown Pinball Show

I do thank everyone who have emailed and texted me (plus facebooking me) during my "journey!" 6 days in ICU and 2 regular room days to recover from what I was told was a full heart attack. Flowers and cards were all appreciated! I now sleep with a "Darth Vader" type mask that seems to do wonders with breathing--its just room air, but it seems to time itself around my breathing, and I sleep soundly WITHOUT snoring! (I woke up with the heart attack--this sleeping issue triggered it!)
I received 4 "stints" in two separate surgeries...one was very far along and the doctor said it was a first for him getting it that far and very tricky. I was incredibly well treated at Holy Redeemer from many caring people. I will take it easy getting back to previous work loads over next month, while on a goal to lose 60 pounds. I tire fast, but am picking up speed! I thank the Lord for helping through this entire ordeal too!

Went to TNT 2 hours on Fri and 2 hours on Sat..and now the long weekend...will try 2 hours Tuesday!

Thanks again for all your thoughts to help me through this! It's wonderful to know I can count on so many people!! Todd

Take care of yourself man. You'll be back to a normal routine eventually, but take it nice and easy getting there.

Glad you're doing well. Check in to the "KLOV Losers" (weight) thread for some motivation and support!

Todd I think you can lose that 60 pounds no problem. If you're getting tired now, you'll be hell on wheels once you lose some weight. Good luck, you can do it!!

when i was 22 i woke up to irregular heartbeats.. before this i was always tired tired all the time.. chased this issue through my 20s untill my doc finally figured out i have sleep apnea.. so not quite as bad as you but kind of the same thing man.. frickin freaky..

Once you get used to the damn thing, it makes a world of difference on how you feel after sleeping.

Glad to hear even though some serious shit went down that you are o.k. Man. You shouldve done some infomercial filming while you were in the hospital lol.. like guys markdown your games too cheap and it gives you a heart attack etc.. :D

.... 6 days in ICU and 2 regular room days to recover from what I was told was a full heart attack.....

Wow. I had kinda wondered about how this here thread kinda dropped out of sight for a few days... That does indeed sound like a real heart attack. Good to hear ya made it.

Pop sent the attached 'toon the other day, with a reminder to go take a walk or something.

Cheers.

Sleap Apnea is not laughing matter, I'm seeing the doc about this Friday actually! My friend is suffering from it and also has this darth vader type mask and it saved his life.

Folks, treat yourself with more care than your arcade machine; we only have one power supply after all!

agreed. i have sleep apnea as well, and had to do the sleep study with the machine on at night and whatnot. i haven't gotten the mask, but quitting drinking and using heavy duty breath strips on my nose at night have helped a lot.

I have had bouts of apnea in the past about once a week i would wake up not breathing, after a few panicked seconds I could breath, often threw up shortly thereafter, it was horrible.

My brother went through the same thing. He had the mask as well and it has probably saved him.

I lost a fair amount of weight and, knock on wood, haven't had an issue since. But it is a horrible thing to go through.

And Todd again I hope all is well and that the road to recovery is a short one. Goodluck!

I now have two masks...one covers just nose, and one nose and mouth with a machine that keeps the rhythm of your breathing in sucha way you do not snore at all...sleep is deep as long as you do not bump the mask so air escapes and it wakes you! Already lost 15 pounds with new eating rules...no cheese, dairy or red meat...at least for now. I seem fine...but tire early ...still building up strength! Todd
