Just going to sum up a trade that will be happening this morning.

The Deal -

Trade my Ms Pacman and Qbert for a Demolition Man pinball.

Long story on the trade itself, I was going to restore his 2 games, Ms Pac and Qbert, all complete, just not working. I diagnosed them about 3 months ago and told him what it would take to fix them. He showed interest and offered a Demolition Pinball (would be considered my first pin) for the services.

Life got in the way for both of us, and the deal never went through. In the meantime, I was collecting the parts to do what he wanted. Easy enough, right?

Well, been holding off on all my projects to get refreshed again and decided to take a 2 month break. Wanted to play the games I built, not just make the museum pieces...

We talked on the phone a few days ago and struck another deal. Since his wife wanted the games fixed and working, I don't have the immediate time, we struck a deal to trade out the Ms Pac and Qbert in my collection for his 2 non working games plus the Demo Man. I think it is a good trade for both of us. He gets 2 restored games (with some mods that he wanted) and the wife is happy! I get the pinball and the 2 non working, and now, I'm happy.

You have to love it when things work out!

A while back, I had this Ms Pac as a multi 60-n-1. Still have the CP that I will put back. Pic shows what it will look like when he picks it up. I ran a new power block in there for Jamma last nite, rewired and connected the 60-n-1 pcb. Left the original wiring in there just in case...he gets a multi that is to his liking...all is good!

The Qbert was redone. Only thing that he does not get is the swearing marquee. His is in great shape and we'll swap them out. Done deal.

I will get the 2 nonworking and get to start over! Actually, for those who have been over here, know that's why I'm in the hobby...to rebuild.

And to top it off, I get my first shopped pinball! I'm excited!

More pics to follow when the trade is complete today...to be continued.

I hate to say it but you got the short end of the stick on this one, I'm not sure if you noticed but that's Sly Stallone! hahaha :)

Sounds like you made out pretty well to me.

Thanks for the props!

I'm excited to own a great condition pin, and to restore 2 more games! It saved us both time and I got to own the first seed onto a "dark path" of pin collecting! :D

He loves the games, which is important to me too. They went to a good home. I never really sell any of the games I redo, since they're meant to be for me, but the trade turned out well all the way around.

Not too sure what the play is like on the pin, never really played them much before, but hey, it's a start!

Looks like I finally discovered a new way to keep the addiction alive!

Not only is that DM shopped ... it also appears to be "blinged out" with LEDs too.

Great deal for you ... enjoy!

Damn nice looking Q-Bert too ...

No free rides!

I never put my quarters in pinball machines when there were arcades around, so thats all DM ever said to me.

Thanks everyone! This pin has been a blast! I am always worried about the upkeep on a pinball machine, a lot more difficult than any other game that I have!

Think the most interesting thing on Demo Man is the Williams setup for the DMD. WAY too many features to change in the menu...basicaly reset it to factory and started to change them one by one...

these must be in really sad shape for him too do this trade?

Why did he not fixup the machines he had?

Well, they're not in the shape that I restore my games to! :D
His Qbert has no swelling in the cab, complete pcbs inside, no power at all. I'll dig into this one later today.

The Ms Pac is the typical faded cab, replaced the fuse holder on the bottom, fired right up. Monitor needs capped.

Overall, These will be relatively easy restores since I already have the majority of parts on hand. Noticed I am looking for a better shape bezel though for the Ms Pac.

Art on the Qbert needs a new CPO and side art (already ordered). Not sure if the monitor is working yet.

We both liked the trade. Once I get my games restored, I have yet tohave an issue. (knock on wood)! He received two top end games exactly the way he wanted, I received a great pin and 2 projects. A win for each of us.

Remember, not everyone has the ability to restore games. His specialty is pinball, mine are video. It works out perfect! :D
