Not that I really needed it, but when I see a '96 DMD game on CL for $650, I can't help myself. :)

Has an audio issue - after a minute or two the sound cuts out...something's overheating...shouldn't be too hard to fix. The DMD has a missing line at the bottom ...outgassing maybe? Not too noticeable, though.

I played it for the first time at a show a few years ago and thought it was pretty cool. I dig the magnetic satellite dish and Bond's magna-cock saver....speaking of which:

Yikes....his James Bond Jr. got blown off! I'll have to fill it in/touch it up. It's pretty sweet though - the magnet saves the ball and flings it back up into play!

I have a translite for this. Every once in a while I pull it out to look at that ass...

Lucky bastid. I wish I could come across a goldeneye for that price.

Well lets see if I can fix the audio prob on my own....if not, gotta dump some more dough into it... Other than that, everything works...the magnets, the jump ramp, etc. I have to make a mod/fix for the left wireform though...the ball often just flies right off of it and down the drain. I think a piece of plastic attached to a hex post should be enough to keep it from jumping.

Yay, I fixed the sound problem! I took the board out to test the caps (InstantArcade brought over his scope) ...and he noticed that the BMST2000 chip had a leg bent out of the socket! Put that thing in correctly and now I have fully functioning sound! YAY! :)

On the sound cutting out. I have found that often all you need to do is pull the sound rom, clean it a bit, make sure all the pins are straight, and reseat.

This game has 3 sound roms, but also a BMST2000 chip - that chip had a leg bent out that wasn't in the socket...once I fixed that, problem solved!

Beautiful, I was thinking the other day how I would love one of these. One of my favorite themes and very nice artwork all over.

Most likely a broken lead, or bad part, and not outgassing.

Well, here's a picture of the leads. Look how the "ribbon" part is attached to the board...at an angle, and it seems like the lead that corresponds to the bad line is just BARELY attached. I reflowed some solder on it, but that didn't seem to do anything. What do you think?

BTW, this was the cause of my sound problem:
