Not too much too mention but supposedly is a home use only machine. Guy I bought it off said it was never routed and he had the original sales receipt from the person who he purchased it off of( it would be cool if he finds them). Sides have fade but otherwise clean. NO it does'nt have an amplifone =( but pic is still nice. Not too many clicks are on the coin counter.

Star Wars

Nope a guy came to my work today to pick up a slot machine that was shipped to him. I was talking with him about his game room and he mentioned he had a star wars. I asked if he was gonna get rid of it, he said yes. I went and looked at it and bought it no questions. How much was the one in HB I must have missed it =/

can i see *** burns on the right hand side of the flightstick,if it was huo and them are *** burns what a way to treat a cab.
:)

Nice score and just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting you when I stopped by to pick up the games. Kalan was nice enough to hold some games for people until I could get there and pick them up.

Game pick up

It was nice meeting you as well. Next time your making a run let me know how I can help out. I talked to Joe today and hes pretty excited to get the Lunar Lander. I have a lot of spare room thanks to you and Van. Talk to you soon and glad you made it home safe.

Yeah I was surprised it went for the base price. It was missing the art on the front around the coin door but looked good otherwise

Good set of eyes KidVidiot. I miss the front panel art work. Which mean Kalan714 and the HB one are not the same. Even tho the stories sound the same.

Funny, but I have seen the coin counters of maybe 5 or 6 star wars machines, and they all were in the 13-15k range. Probably the life expectancy of the red HV flybacks. Most games of that era are much higher.

Use the force now

nice pick up congrats. star wars looks great in any game room. i had a new garage door installed and the tech was telling me it was his favorite of all time. he almost fell over when i showed him the game room and he saw it. let him play 2 games on his break. hey i made 50 cents, he insisted on inserting coin.

One part of the story that doesn't seem quite right. HUO that doesn't have an Amp? I know a true HUO home owners type machine could have had the monitor replaced somewhere along the line, but it just seems unlikely to me.

If it was an op's machine at any point (obviously most likely), it's easy to see why it has a 6100 now. I could see that if a collector bought it new too. But if it went straight to a non-collector single game home type owner? If the monitor went out for them, they'd be at a loss. Picture this, 1960's, you have a TV repair man come to your house to fix your big honking new console TV, which is in way too big of a cabinet to take for repair and he says, "you know, I can fix this, but I have to take the tube out". I think the home owner would say screw that, I'll buy a new one. Or more likely the tech would say screw this, I'm just telling him it's unfixable. I don't know just seems off for some reason.

Either way, doesn't matter, you have a sweet looking game for what hopefully was a great price. Way to go.
