I picked a Williams high speed pinball today, thinking I would probably part it out do to it's bad shape. I know some of you hate me because I will part a game with little remorse if I need to, However I love love love pins and I almost just passed on this one so I wouldn't have to make that decision but the price was ridiculous so I loaded it up and brought it home. The more I look at it the more I want to save it, but it needs new everything what are these things really worth? I would guess it would need about 2k in work and parts but then it would also be basically new and mint. Is it worth it? I have never played it and it's not playable now. It looks like the board caught fire at some point someone went crazy on the boards with a soldering iron horrible repairs everywhere and to top it off it looks like it had to have been left outside bad shape but it looks nice from about 20 feet. When I first saw it my heart skipped a beat because of the price I got it for. If it's worth 2-3K I'll restore it when the parts become available otherwise I will fix it and play it are just part/sell it. Need advice I will post pictures soon but I had to bury it in the garage until I can get organized I have way to many games for my garage.
