Its the exact same cabinet as the machine I picked up a few weeks ago. I think these are going to look great together:cool:

LOL going broke quick. Just cant believe the machines that keep popping up. It was pretty dry around here for a few months. Now all at once:eek:

Do I spy a Galaga bar stool? ;)

Good Eye!!:) Wife made that for me. She knows how much I love Galaga. I have a few dedicated Galaga's in the garage that I was going to restore, but I think I might let those go, and keep this one. It plays so nice got 150k on the first game. I will keep the stool in front of this machine:D

I think I would go for a cabaret Galaga, just so I could play Galaga in the kitchen :D

It's likely that you could get a full sized Galaga cheaper than a cabaret, plus the big cab has all the pretty art bits and bigger marquee...

One of my favorite games though! Never gets old. Congrats on the find!

The history of the machine is pretty cool. The machine was won brand new in a raffle. They played it for a few months. They decided they didnt have room for it, so it went into storage. It has been in storage until today. These are the actual number of plays on this machine. I turned off the continue feature because I dont like it.

Nice score, but I continue to be appalled at how half-assed Namco is with these machines. That monitor bezel is cringe-inducing... they didn't even try to form it to fit the screen. Is it noticeable like that all the time, or does the camera flash just highlight the issue?

I've seen the Pac cabarets pretty often, while the DK one is pretty rare... I've only seen one pop up in Florida, period, and two DK Full size multi's while I've seen dozens of class of '81 (full size) machines. I currently own the 25" DK multi, and LOVE It.. best way to have DK, DKjr, and MB in one, and the 25 screen rocks. I still have my dedicated DK though with DKII.

Congrats on your score!

Yea monitor Bezel could be better. The game play, and options make up for that. The cabinet construction is very nice.

I bet even on those machines in the wild about 2% have had Pac-Man played on them.

That's cool... wasn't at all trying to crap on your acquisition. :)

I know:D I do wish the bezel was better. I really like the options on the board. fast ms pac, slow ms pac, regular galaga, rapid fire. they really did a great job with the board.
