Today's Haul

Awsome Barry! I saw the post from the pinball group and thought that it would probably be trashed, or just one of those 'too good to be true' stories. I'm glad it turned out to be such a fantastic score!

Tom

That's what I thought it would be too.

damn man, insane!!!

i would complain about not getting anything on criags but i just scored a free hot tub and a free water cooler( the kind you hook up to a water line) so im pratty happy..

again insane story man!!!

and to top it off a 25 inch monitor in that bastage too...

thats one worth hanging on to..

+10000000 for that kind gesture! A lot of people wouldn't have done the same thing. I commend you for that!

Thanks. I believe in Karma... :)

Can someone with a cockpit help me answer this mystery?

My cockpit has the smoked plexi on the back, but the top plexi is bronze colored, not smoked. You can see it in this picture:

What color is it supposed to be?

It's supposed to be bronze for both, but I don't like it. (I guess with smoked you mean color-less, so "grey" or "black" ?)

So, I replaced mine with brand new (custom bent and drilled from the originals) new one's. My local Perspex dealer has the tools to do this work perfectly.
Mine are "smoked" if you want to call them like that, I'd say grey, black or colorless.

Looks MUCH better IMHO....it fits much better to the black parts of the cab. Besides, bronze is so 70's (not 80's ;) )

By bronze, I mean "orangy" in color (is that a word? :)) By smoked, I mean dark gray/light black. They are different colors. I am assuming that the top has been replaced... How dark should I make the replacement? :)

Seriously, congrats ;)

LOL. Thanks.

I was talking to a fellow KLOV yesterday when he was over (Fullthrottle) and we were talking about this. Two things came up in the discussion:
1. Proof that there are still deals and finds to be had out there
2. I was a bit sad as I dont think I could ever get another "find". :(

Looks like the PCB is not the original that came with the cockpit. It has an URxxxxx number on it, as does the deflection board. The HV board and AR boards have an SDxxxxx number on it.

I am assuming that UR=Upright & SD=Sit Down?

From my experience as a teacher the only thing you get for free is head lice.

Did I mention I hate you :D

No I dont know the whole story. I think someone just walked in and gave it to him.

Guy walked in off of the street, and asked if I was willing to dispose of his really dim working G07. He did not want to pay the $19 disposal fee at the dump. I said, sure bring it in and I will take it. Guy brought it in, and I gave it a good once over. Noticed that the neck board was barely on the neck pins, and pushed it back into place. Fired it up using my test rig at the show, and it came up beautiful. Ran Mario Bros on it perfectly.
