Today's Haul - SW Cockpit

Never thought I would get one. A post came on the pinball group yesterday that I responded to almost immediately. I was the only one to send contact info.

The woman who had it has had it for many years. It died 12 years ago (she had replaced/fixed the monitor twice) and she decided not to fix it. It has been sitting in the house for 10 years, garage for 2. Its very clean. Not sure if it was HUO (she said it was) as there are 75k plays but its real clean. Full set of manuals.

I figured it was a WG as the monitor had been replaced/fixed twice. However, its an Amp. And it looks like a 25" amp. :D Its been a while since I fixed an AMP (first monitor I ever fixed)...

Marquee comes on. It plays blind, but no monitor.

Some pictures...

Oh... and the best parts of the story? It was 15 minutes away from me and it was free!!!

Best free cab I ever got!

Oh... Its definitely a 25" Amp. Still has the big red.

Strange thing is that when I turn it on:
- Spot killer LED comes on for a sec, then off
- I can hear chatter that seems to change as the game progresses

Nothing on the screen though... I cant see neck glow, and i dont believe there is any HV (tried discharging the tube and it was silence)...

Congrats - I love stories like these: KLOV members ending up with and saving great arcade games that might otherwise have been scrapped. The price is just the icing. :)

You know you just won the greatest score of the year, right? Congrats....
Can you believe someone try selling one in no better shape than yours and barely working for over $3000? Stories like this keep me looking elsewhere.

holy poo... that is an amazing find... you are one lucky guy.

I had fun playing Star Wars at the show in Seattle... maybe this one will show up next year?
