Got in contact with an older gentleman who has dealt with electronics all of his life. Bought out an arcade when it closed over 20 years ago. The games have been sitting in his garage since that time. I got to clean out the old garage in the back. Ended up bringing back 6 cabinets today plus 2 monitors. The best machine out of them all was the black widow, which was an original gravitar. ( Not sure if they all were like this, new to most of this). Inside of the black widow was all of the original manuals from both games. Got a space invader and space invader deluxe as well. Also got a centipede cabaret cabinet and a trivia game which was once an atari Kangaroo. You can still see the original artwork under the black paint of the Kangaroo. Maybe it will come off pretty easy. The last cabinet is pretty much junk, has a board in it for a game called Rough Ranger by Capcom. This little hobby of mine has really taken over, started in March with a used Ms. Pac, I am now up to 16 machines. My brother in-law and my nephew are in the pictures. Enjoy!

If you decide to restore the Kangaroo, I've got two boardsets you can have for the cost of shipping.

I've not tested them, but they were pulled from working machines by the operator so that he could convert them to something else. That being said, it's probably been 20+ years since they've been plugged in and used.

PM me if you're interested.

They will probably work. As a whole, Kangaroo boardsets are pretty solid. I have repaired a few over the years and it was usually simple/easy things.

Got to love Black Widow. If it works, the monitor from that game is worth $350 by itself. Definitely a great haul!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have to rip into the old Kangaroo cabinet and see how good the side art is underneath. I may just take you up on the offer for the board. It still has the original monitor, can see the Kangaroo Burn in.

As far as the Black Widow goes, it powers up, screen comes one, just has a small line in the middle. Will have to take it apart and check everything over. He said it worked fine when it was put in the garage.

The guy still has a bunch more very nice machines in his front building. There is so many things stacked on top of them that he told me he would call me when he has that sold. ( Old electronic parts, nothing to do with video games) The coolest thing that he had when you walk in was a completely mint video pinball machine. The nephew was playing that for awhile.

I drove a bit over two hours to pick up six games this weekend too including a Black Widow :). Of course I hauled mine in a small trailer with a 4 cylinder '95 Dakota with no air so the trip wasn't a lot of fun. I got a great deal however it was still more than you paid so congrats Kawydud !

I love it...you have become one of us....the few the proud the hoarders...soon you will have no garage, basement, or office...when the games reach the kitchen it time to seek help....:D

Yes you will need help in figuring out where else to put more games or how to arrange what you have to get more in! LOL! How's the art look on that Black Widow? hard to find one with the actaul Black Widow side art and not Gravitar side art. So don't go selling the monitor just because it's worth an "x" amount of dollars alone.....
