Got it cheap, partially working. The cab could use a nice restoration with the lock bar holes and access panel issues, but the bezel is perfect, game is complete and it was 10 min from my house.

Awesome, and quite the coincidence. I will getting one of those delivered in less than a month. We can lean on eachother for resto advice when I get mine in hand. Love those EM shooters.

Nice. Could I start by asking for a scan of the front artwork? :)

The panel should come right off...I hope. Apparently mine was lost along the way. I could always paint it yellow to match, but the artwork would be better imho.

Chris, did he mention what other em's he had in the lot? Interested if there was a Williams Phantom in there.....

Did Wild Kingdom use a tape for the sounds?

Wild Kingdom uses a 8 track for background sounds. If there had been a Phantom, Haunted House, Ambush or similar, I would have grabbed it.

I posted briefly about what I missed...

All he had left was pitch and bat, davy crockett and funland rifle.

Pinball Pal has the stencils for WK. Don't know if they'd just sell the front stencil.

You mentioned a potential cabinet restoration. Are you thinking of re-painting the cab? That's a pretty controversial topic in the EM gun game collector world (unlike the video game collector world). Your cabinet and side art looks to be in pretty good shape, based on the limited pics.

I've never found any paint color codes for WK, but color matching should be pretty easy by just taking the small side panel door to a paint store. Magic Eraser did a great job of getting the hard film of grime off my cabinet.

While I haven't yet done it, I'm going to reinforce the bottom of my cabinet. Probably add a thick piece of plywood. The original thin bottom is pretty fragile after all these years. I don't really want to take it out due to all the parts attached to it.

Thanks for the info johnvv, I had seen the 8 track belts at pinball pal, didn't know they had stencils. The artwork is in very nice shape, but the cabinet has spent the last 25+ years in a Chicago garage. Extreme temperature changes = some cabinet issue. Instead of glass flake, I have paint flake on the sides. Merely brushing it removes dozens of little flakes. I understand the desire to keep it original, so perhaps I'll just give it a non-gloss clear coat to seal it.

I'll follow up shortly with a complete post.

Guys I wanted to know is when did they stop using tape decks and switch to electronic sounds???? I have a Williams Jungle Drums circa 71 or 72 that uses electronic sounds.....

check out marvin's site, tons of info, perhaps the answer is there. my game uses the 8 track for background noise only. the gun firing is done with electronics
