So last night I saw a posting for a Rampage arcade game without a pic for $40.00.. I emailed him, however I never heard back.. This afternoon I got an email from him and asked if it worked. He told me it worked fine, so I grabbed my son and headed to his house.. It was a 20 year old kid who just wanted it gone. It is a dedicated 3 player cabinet that is fully functional... The monitor needs recapping, missing the bezel and a new CPO, however it is in pretty good shape...

While I was there another person called and was asking about it. I quickly handed him the $40.00 and loaded up....

My wife loves this game (Very Rare).. I got the go ahead to fully restore it and possibly put it in the house !!!!....

Dude, nice score! The monitor alone is worth $40 (or more). Does anyone make a stencil kit for the sides?

LOL not for nothing but I think a 4 year old could mask and paint that pretty good, doesnt seem like much to stencil off.

Nice score for cheap!!

I had a chance on this one too. Glad you got it and not me. I don't have room for projects. One question, though: is this game "very rare"? Granted, you don't see nice ones often. But that one isn't that nice. Its $40 nice, though... ;)

Good luck with the CPO.. I have a rampage and it's in pretty good shape. However, I wanted to replace the CPO and there is none to be found.. If you come across one you should get it scanned so repo's can be made.. Nice score for $40.00 bucks no matter what shape if it works.

AFAIK no one makes art for this game. On top of that for some reason it seems a bit hard to find and is often expensive when it is found. Hopefully you will have good luck with this. The last person I knew that was looking, searched for a bezel for at least 5 years before finding one. I did once see one for sale on quarter arcade.com for $80 plus shipping I think. For what I consider a popular game it seems hard to find parts. Honestly it will likely be cheaper to find a second one that is complete than tracking down all the individual parts.

I think he meant getting his wifes approval was very rare, not the game.

Yep, I was being sarcastic, I just forgot to put this --. I guess it might be tough to mask the Bally/Midway logo, though... :)

Reminds me of an Ice Cold Beer {arcade game} I was getting from an op's warehouse 2 weeks ago.. I was looking at other games still and saw a few other people pull up. I immediately handed the guy cash, threw it on a dolly and loaded it up. Then I continued to look at the other games.

Nice score! There is a guy locally that has a nice one for sale. The control panel and bezel are mint! It works 100%. He wants $300 for it. I just don't think I'm into the game that much to spend $300 on it.

I'd be all over that. Hell, if it is really that nice, I'd pay the extra $350 to ship it. Yes, I'd pay $650 for a real nice Rampage. Without having to even consider it.

My Rampage actually gets a lot of play.. It's a family classic. It's very simple with endless continues so I think that is why the they family likes it. I think if you are more of a solo gamer then Rampage would not satisfy you one bit. It's definetly a mulitplayer only.

Congrats on your score. It's a great party game, my kids and wife enjoy playing it even if it's on a console let alone an arcade cab.

That's a game I still debate owning. I played one back at the Melrose Bowl in 86-87, so it holds fond memories for me, but I know that the repetitive gameplay would probably get old. I know my kids would love it though. Nice score.

It took 5 years to find a RAMPAGE bezel? Really?
